The STAMP AUTOTHREAD is a machine customized to meet the specific requirements of security printers, which offers the ability to inspect, slit and rewind coils of pressure sensitive and glue-applied perforated and non-perforated stamps on cores or coreless. The Dynatrak^TM counter provides security counting with versatile comparative count sources to ensure that the machine severs the web in the required position.

Fully automated in coreless mode, the cycle begins by positioning the rewind shaft to accept the multiple web ends as they are presented by the autothread head. The shaft then inflates and begins rewinding material as the head retracts to allow full rewind diameter. When final preset count is reached the machine slows and stops before the web is severed accurately between stamps. Roll closure and auto-ejection systems are available to clear the rewind shaft in preparation for the next cycle.

A variety of inspection features are available such as missing stamp detection, flag & splice detection, print quality inspection using a web video monitor or vision system. A multiple-lane, ink jet consecutive numbering system is also available as a security measure for inventory control.
